I saw the lady, I think she's the P. A. to Dr. Gates. The office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful including the nurses. The PA, Suzanne something was throughly unhelpful. I offered up a brief "journal" of symptoms for her to look at (which I had also spent lots of time typing) only for her to say, no thanks, just sum it up for me.... really? That was when I knew this appt was going to be a waste of time and money. I asked about blood work to check basic levels and she insisted that I just take the antidepressant (which I stated multiple times I was not interested in bc I wasn't depressed). My symptoms were more panic attack & anxiety related. After taking only 1 dose of this medicine I had severe chest pain. After the same thing on day 2, I discontinued use. It turns out I was just deficient in B vitamins due to me recently and abruptly stopping a multivitamin that I had become sensitive to. Ridgway is a small town and there are only a couple doctors around and I'll never go back there. This is a very holistic area and all she cared about was writing that Rx. She didn't listen at all.
I had a great experience. My appointment was with Suzanne who took the time to not only ask the right questions but also listen and respond to all my questions in an understanding and informed manner. I found the staff to be professional and caring.
